next Wednesday i have the first presentation about the important of follow up in UTI . I research in lots of websites and books but without any result :(
fortunately i found your website and i hope that u will help me before wed.
I wanna to know the important of follow up in UTI and also the complication of disregard it..

In my opinion, the importance is two fold:

At that time, it can be determined through retesting, if the antibiotic did in fact eliminate the bacterial infection.

And, if the culture results were negative, and the patient still symptomatic, new paths will need to be explored.

Rarely, if ever, does a doctor perform a follow up. BUT THEY SHOULD. For the reasons above.
