Urinary Tract Infection

Hello,
I have been being treated for a UTI for the past 2 weeks now. First the Doctor gave me cephalexin, that didn't work, so they changed it to ciprofloxacin. I still have not responded. I don't have discomfort or burning to pass urine, it feels a little achy (i have no burning). In the beginning , my main symptom was needing to urinate lots and lots, now it is bad bladder pain and lower abdominal pain. Last night i went to an out of hours clinic, they dip sticked my urine and it has a lot of puss cells in it. What with it being easter weekend, i have to wait until Tuesday to hand in another urine sample that will be properly tested at the lab. Originally they did this after they put me on to the antibiotics, so it came back as normal (dr said this is because the anti biotic probably covered it up)
Has anybody else not been respondent to anti biotics? I am starting to feel really anxious about this all!
