Recurring UTI for Sexual Partners.

Post a new topicby AEIOwnU on Mon Jan 07, 2008 2:12 pm

Hi there,

I'm hoping someone can shed a little bit of light on a problem that my sexual partners are having with me in the frequency of UTIs. It seems that almost every girl that I've had as a sexual partner for an extended period of time seems to have more bladder infections than they usually do. I feel bad, because I know how irritating and painful a UTI is. I've always recommended that my partner urinate after sex and drink cranberry juice or take cranberry pills. I've been checked for STDs and am negative for anything in that arena. So what other variables should be considered? Someone mentioned that size may play into the problem, but that doesn't sound right. The girth of my penis is quite large, but other than that, I'm just above average, so I don't see how that could be a potential factor. Anyone have similar experiences or advice? I really hate seeing anyone go through a UTI especially my girlfriend. PLEASE, any help is appreciated here. :)

Do you have any UTI symptoms yourself at all? The bacteria can be passed from one person to another during sexual activity. An STD check wouldn't usually look for common UTI bacteria like e.coli. I think that you should stop advising them to drink cranberry juice however, since it makes the urine alot more acidic, which is a perfect environment for the bacteria to multiply, so whilst I'm sure that you mean well, it will aggrovate the problem. If you want to help your partner, then get her a natural bacteria fluss like Waterfall D-Mannose. I've been using it to keep me UTI free for some time now and I think it's wonderful.

I hope that this helps you alot.

All the best,

Chiyaki.

No, I have never had a UTI. Thank you so much for the advice on the Waterfall D-Mannose! I'm going to get some for my girlfriend today. I hope that works, since nothing else, except antibiotics and abstinence. :(

MANY THANKS!

Hello
I never had a UTI until this passed October. Since then I have had 5! I went to the urologist today (which was not fun at all) and she gave me a pill to take each time I have sex. I hope it works for me...
That thing you mentioned, is it an herb? Some kind of homeopathic remedy?
Thanks!

Waterfall D-Manose is not a herbal product, but a natural monosaccharide isomer of glucose, extracted from Sweet Forest Timbers (mainly of the hard Fagaceae and Betulaceae families) without using solvents. From what was explained to me, it binds to the same receptor sites that E-coli. likes to bind to in the bladder. So if E-coli. has nothing to bind to, it decreases your chance of acquiring a bladder infection. The "jury is still out" with me on whether this is working for my girlfriend or not. We shall see!

So what did your doctor give you to take before sex? Just intrigued if it's something other than antibiotics, as that's been about all that works for my girlfriend.

That's a perfect description! Yes, it's a Glyco-nutrient (a kind of essential sugar) that the E.coli grab onto so as not to have them latch onto your body.

If it's helps from a regular user at all... Yes it works wonderfully :D

Hi all. Thanks for the advise on Waterfall D-Mannose. I have the same problem with my girlfriend. She gets a UTI after sex almost every time. Odd about the cranberry though b/c we've both always heard thats what you take for UTIs. Neither her nor I want her to take an antibiotic every singel time after sex like the doctors said so hopefully the Waterfall D works. I'm curious to know if it worked for AEIOwnU's girlfriend.

Unfortunately, my girlfriend hasn't used it as regular as prescribed and has been on antibiotics after her UTI spread to her kidneys. I hope that you do try the Waterfall D-Manose solution with your girlfriend to see if that works. I will post my findings, once she's off the antibiotics, but hope that others will do the same.

Many thanks tll1975 and all for your great contributions to this thread thus far! :)

May I ask where you can get this Waterfall D-Mannose? Haven't heard it before and the name doesn't come up in my researches in the Internet about UTIs. May I also ask where you got this information? I am in the same situation. Have been taking antibiotics for the last 16 years every month for post-coital UTI. Of course, I also get yeast infections and have to be treated for those. It seems that I am always undergoing treatment. I am feeling quite desperate. All my gynecologists/urologists are stumped! I've tried all suggestions, had surgery supposedly to fix the problem, but nothing works for me. Thanks for helping, please?
