UTI’sMy 92 year old mom in law seems to have many UTI’s. She was taking a prophylactic to help prevent them, but things have gone South. She seems to have escaped reality and speaks of very strange things and acts rather strangely. Her doc prescribed a stronger antibiotic for a week, in hopes the infection might be killed and then maybe her mind would clear up. Re: UTI’smy 81 year old father has suffered constantly for the past 12 months with uti"s for the first eight months he had a catheter which is understandable but still keeps getting them now without it. he gets what us his daughters call the la la's or off with the fairieswhen he has an infection but will usually improve with antibiotics. a week ago my dad was hospitalised due to some sort of seizures. we are wondering if this has anything to do with an untreated uti. his doctor decided treatment was unnecessary and took him off his blood pressure medication as well. his ph level at the time of testing was 9 which i'm told is very high. trying to find more information
