low testosterone in teenage boys

Post a new topicby ronnidart on Fri Mar 21, 2008 11:32 am

I am a mother of a 16 year old boy. He has recently been diagnosed with testosterone deficiency Unfortunately, this condition was diagnosed too late to effect his growth ( he is only 5' tall), but the doctor is concerned about his bone density. She wants to put him on testosterone injections. I am wondering if any one knows of a resource that can give me info specific to adolescent males. There is lots of info about men with low testosterone He is concerned about "roid rage", depression, and other side effects. I'm just plain concerned.
