2.5 yrs on testosterone replacement, and still recoveringI’m 37 now, and got on Testim 1% about 19 months ago. I’ve dropped over 40 lbs. from 260… which was mostly fat back then. I’m still dropping weight slowly, and I have muscles now.
Looking back, it probably went low in my mid-20s. I was athletic and strong in my teens and early 20’s. I weighed about 170-180 when I was 24. Then I lost muscle over a couple of years and went down to about 150. Then I got fat… real fat. I figure I was testosterone deficient f...Read the full article

I have to agree with you on so many things. Only main issue was that my insurance will not pay for the Testim. As a result, I have to have injections. So I have a big "push" on Thursdays and by Tuesday, I am also having a hard time getting out of bed. The weight loss has been great. I have been on T since Sept 07 and the other day while trying on a size 38 pair of pants (as opposed to the 44 I normally wore) I noticed that my tummy no longer fell over my belt. Even my love handles we disappearing. And I had tried every diet in the book prior to that. At 37 I weighed 147 and was tight and toned. Will I see that again? I take Cymbalta for my depression (result of Fibromyalgia) and had no reaction between the two though. Good luck, sounds like you are on your way to be good and healthy (or at least healthier) again Rich
Re: 2.5 yrs on testosterone replacement, and still recoveringI have read the posted comments and both have mentioned denied insurance. My 1st blood test claimed a T count of 297, which was not low enough for my primary to prescribe anything other than a referral to a shrink. So I went to a urologist and he prescribed Testim for his patients with a count under 300, which i took samples of for 4 weeks, my insurance denied my prescription so I was going to pay for out of pocket till I was told it was $800.00 for a 90 day supply. I returned to my urologist and he had me stop the samples for a couple of weeks , re-blood test and re-submit new T count of 266 to the insurance co. They again denied me claiming their scale was between 245 and 850. So tomorrow I waill call them and dispute their denial.
Any advice would greatly be appreciated... Thanks AKAP

I might seem uneducated on it, but was wondering if it may affect us that way and cause more growth? Hoping so, i guess.....
