Im 55, Dr. put me on Medroxyprogestrone 10mg. taken 10 days ea. month. How will I know when I've reached menapause since it causes a cycle. I irregular I thought s how peri menapause worked.

The average age of menopause is 51 so I would say you are surely at leasr perimenopausal. Consideration for standard estrogen and progesterone therapy may be better for you. ASK YOUR md.
