TESTICULAR ATROPHY

Post a new topicby masifm on Thu Apr 10, 2008 2:57 pm

Dear Doc,

i had a low sperm count as below,

Volume = 6 ml
sperm count = 3m/ml

No motility and 50 % defective sperms.

after the above results my urologist advised me to go for testicular biopsy which reads as follows.

" The Section of testicular tissuses. The seminiferous tubules show thickening of their wall and at places show hyalinizatior. The tubules are lined by sertoll cells. No spermatogenetic cells seen. Intersatitional cells of leyding show hyperplasia."

after the above report he told me that there are no chances other than the ICSI. please advise me if, as per the above report, there are no spermatogenetic cells then how the sperms are being generated though in low quantity.

moreover do help me that if i be able to father a child with the above statistics.

thanks a lot
