out of control MIgraines

Post a new topicby Rachel on Sat Nov 15, 2008 12:31 am

Hi all

I have Epilepsy but I also have MIgrianes as well. Right now they are way out of control. My neurologist is treating me for them. He gives me Fioricet for onset-headaches,adn Maxalt once they have already begun, which is related to Imitrex.

I also takeTopamax as one of my epilepsy drugs adn he is also using it to kill headaches killing 2 birds with one stone. He needs to increase it again so the headaches stop for a while longer. But right now he is decreasing my Neurontin every 2 months by 300 mgs. it will take awile to get me off that drug because Iwas on 3600 mgs of it maxing it out. right now I am taking 2700 mgs of it.

Idon't knwo how long he is going to wait to increase the Topamax.

But they are annoying and out of controladnI can't do anything about it except take this stupid med he gave me. I can only take one Fioricet every 8-12 hrs, like that will kill the pain. I sneak it in every 6-8 hrs whe nthey are really bad. I have no auras before my head aches.

I do have auras before my szs.
