menopausal problemsI had surgical menopause at age 39, I have interstitial cystitis and I can't function without my Lexapro (SSRI). I'm also 47, and my GYN doc wants me to start weaning off my etsrogen patches, so I'm down to very little. As a consequence, I have ZIPPO desire, nearly impossible to arouse, orgasm is a once every 3 months or so bonus, and now even over the counter lubricants are not dealing well with the friction problem. The problem in the past with estrogen vaginal creams have been a sensitivity to the bases used in the creams. My marriage is taking a serious hit here, folks. We've been married 18 years as of last Sunday, and I'd like to think we can beat the odds on marital longevity in the U.S. if we can solve at least some of these problems. Suggestions? Anybody tried testoterone vaginal cream?
Re: menopausal problemsYou need to see a specialist, the one near me is http://www.menopauseandsexualhealthcare.com/clinician.html if she is not near you maybe she knows of someone in your area, good luck
Re: menopausal problemsI have not tried the cream. But please get of the estrogen. I was on HRT for four years and was just diagonosed with estrogen produced breast cancer dcis. They caught it in the early stages. HRT was wonderful for my sex life. It was estratest (estrogen and testastrone). Now i cant take it any more per the doctor. because of the estrogen. Heed the warnings. I am trying to figure out what to do my self now.
