Re: i think i have a very low libidoLow libido huh? Well mine is "0" ! I am feeling lost. If we go to Europe they can help us !! Funny how they have all this male performing drugs but nothing for women.
Look up "Pellets" on the internet. I had implanted in my hip estrogen and testosteron. The testosterone apparently will take 4 weeks to work. I am off of my premarin and progesterone. I do feel good about getting off the high dose that I was previouly taking. The 19 th of February was the procedure. Sure hope it works. I will be happy and I want to make my husband happy too ! Let me know how it goes.
Re: i think i have a very low libidoI have the pellets implanted in my hip too. I love them. They changed my life drastically for the better. I had a hysterectomy 20+ years ago and for 15+ years had zero libido. After moving to AZ and getting a new gyn I found out she does the pellets. Within 48 hours my libido skyrocketed! It's been four years now and all is still good.
If the pellets are not working, have your blood work done for hormone levels. You might just need tweaking. I get 50mgs of estrogen and 75mgs of testosterone every 3-4 months. Good luck! Please do not give up! Regards, NJWhite
Re: i think i have a very low libidoI have practicing gyn for 26 years. This is a very common complaint, second only to generalized fatique. Sex drive in women is very different than in men! Men are driven by testesterone and women have much less of this. Also I frequently see this after having children. Women's sex drive is more from the brain and therefore if stressed with everyday life, the drive can go down. I tell my patients that this is normal and to proceed with sex and they will usually enjoy the comfort of the closeness with their partner. This will keep him happy and avoid conflict.
I have also prescribed testesterone 2% ointment which is made by the pharmicist (be careful using over the counter products). I have women rub this in to the clitoral area for approx. 10 minutes for absorption and use this three times per week. I tell them it is even better for absorption if you masturbate with the cream. This has helped a lot of women. GynMD
Re: i think i have a very low libidoHi Everyone,
Many women have similar concerns, so you are NOT Broke or Alone.I am a sexual health educator for E-Sensual Woman and I am passionate about helping women discover their sensuality. I hope to learn from this forum. So I can continue to offer good information to my group. Thank you GynMD for your useful comment. My usual suggestions are take some time out from climax focused activities. Enjoy your sensuality and your non sexual relationship with your partner. Have fun without going all the way. Try things like exploring more of what delights your senses or erotic massages. Remember not all orgasm or desire issues are directly attributed to physical dysfunctions. However, a negative mental association or disconnect can cause a physical response which then creates a vicious cycle, hence the mind- body connection.
